Infants and Immunizations

Today was a new experience for me with the boys, getting their immunizations. As usual I was about a month behind since life is so busy. I found out today how much harder it was to have two babies getting needles, mostly emotionally. I’m not a fan myself of needles, you can ask my mother. I hated it and would do anything to avoid them. For me today it was so hard to sit there and hold my boys one at a time while they got theres. It was hard too when I had the girls but at least it was just the one each visit.

Things I learned and did today to help make things better were, pick up Tempra (drug store was all out of Tylenol) and make a crock pot dinner. I know that sounds odd but my husband had to go to work right after I came home so at least having dinner easy and ready to serve when ever was really handy. Something that may also come in handy for anyone who has infants getting immunizations. I remember my girls were both so clingy and cuddly afterwards that a meal like that would have helped also so I did not have to worry about cooking anything. The Tylenol is just good to have on hand to help reduce fever and the pain your baby may feel afterwards.

No matter what it is not an easy thing for any parent to go through just try to think of ways to make things easy around your home before hand so that you can relax and be there for your baby(ies) afterwards.
